Trouble on Gilligan's Island

Postby CoffeeCream on Wed Mar 12, 2008 5:51 pm

The lady who played Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island was arrested for having dope in her car! Come on, Mary Ann?

I heard about that this morning. Not big news though. There have been a lot of celebrities who have been caught with worse.

wait, dope still means marijuana on the west coast?

out here, dope means heroin now. no one calls pot dope anymore.

and, oddly enough, back in the 1920s, or whenever it was that Faulkner was writing 'Sound and the Fury', dope meant cola. as in the soft drink.
have you ever seen an idealist with grey hairs on his head?
or successful men who keep in touch with unsuccessful friends?
you only think you did
i could have sworn i saw it too
but as it turns out it was just a clever ad for cigarettes.
