I'm a b@stard

Postby Heimdall on Sat Mar 08, 2008 7:46 pm

I'm such a dirty player sometimes. I was stuck in a 3-way stalemate in a speed game. So after a while i told them i had to leave. The other players believed me so they wasted themselves on each other and i cleaned the house on my following turn. I didn't miss any turns.

I'm evil

Perfectly legal, escpecially if you didn't miss turns, but not a very clean trick in my opinion.

I did that once, not on purpose though. I had to go on vacation so I told everybody in the game I was going to deadbeat, so I missed a few turns. Then i found a computer and was able to play. I got the bonus for deadbeating and wiped the board clean.

THIS WAS NOT DONE ON PURPOSE

yes it's dirty but legal. however it is the fault of the other players that it turned out like it did. they should have devoured you for the cards then fight each other. that's what i would have done.

my brothers bigger than your brother.

Well its certainly a trick, and its probably a dirty trick but certainly not an illegal trick. I voted all fair in war, guess the other players shouldnt have been so foolish as to waste themselves while you could come back.

THat's a low move mate. Obviously its legal cos you wouldn't get banned for it but not exactly something I'm going to emulate

This game is about winning, and I will do all it takes to win (within the rules obviously, no more winning once banned)

Perfectly legit in my book.
If i`d lose a game because of some such trick I`d only be pissed at myself for falling for it.

That's a brilliant move. It's like when you tell your friends you have to go home 'cause it's late, so they can just leave your troops there and fight it out for the win, then you come back in 10 minutes later and pretend your car wouldn't start, so you have to stay the night and might as well finish playing. Works exactly once. The second time all your guys are gone and you get locked out.

The tactic is called "disinformation". It's a standard tactic. If you believe what your opponent is telling you then... well, you know what I mean.

The first thing you want to do- if you can- is control what your enemy believes. From there he can do nothing.

I like that tactic, but I would set myself up in case you were feeding us BS.

If someone is offended by the tactic, you might get a neg out of it, but it is totally legal.

Disinformation is a part of war, and the other players should be aware of that and conduct their strat accordingly.

I would never use that particular strat, but I would not hold it against anyone.

Your post made me laugh my ass off!
