yeah, a lot of the analysts say its because he knows the system and he can use "I will resign" as a bargaining chip in a deal.

If he hasn't resigned yet because he thinks he can hang on to the office, he will be burned at the stake haha.

David Vitter's still going strong, he got busted last year. And I'd say a cultural conservative getting busted as a prostitute-ring client is worse than an attorney, although they're both pretty hypocritical. I feel like Spitzer will live this one out, although this probably means he's not getting any higher than Governor. Sucks, he was a promising Democrat.

edit: my bad, he's apparently resigning tonight.
