btw, I didn't mean that as a put-down, I'm geniunely curious.

Let me give you an example.... Say I come out and claim some investigative role, like cop for example. What that's just done is given the scum their #1 target for tonight's kill. Same thing if I claim doc or any other power role. Giving the scum this information only hurts the town by telling scum who to pick off. Can you see that?

Now this is more for the early days, when no one has any information. If I'm cop, for example, I wouldn't want to claim for a couple more days to get some investigations under my belt before making myself the #1 target. This is just an example, I'm not claiming cop.

Now let's say I claim some vanilla role, or low-power role like mason. That information then tells the scum I'm not a high value target, so they can pick someone else to kill tonight and have a higher chance of hitting a cop or doc or vig, i.e. those roles that really threaten them.

Yes Wicked but it breaks down when we have to lynch someone and ultimately they are going to have to claim before the lynch goes through (usually).

I got the impression it was more of a random vote...Well I guess it could be some kind of variation on lyncher...But yeh he needs to talk a bit more...

yes clive, but I was a random pick b/c most in this game are lazy and will just vote whoever the person in front of them voted. I've done nothing scummy; in fact, have been trying to get and keep this game going since it started. The more people talk, the more they might let loose a scum tell or hint, which is why scum like to submarine and which is why I'm trying to get everyone talking. As townies, the more talk we can generate among everyone, the better.

OTOH, you have one person with an UBER scum tell in JND.

All joking aside, why dont we all calm down a bit? We have 2 days-most of the games I'vebeen in so far, town has lynched town day one, and a cop or doctor a couple of times.

Exactly my point. Especially since that's ALL he's posted and then disappeared again. I've been asking and waiting for him to come back here, but yet to no avail. So perhaps a little pressure is in order?

yes clive, but I was a random pick b/c most in this game are lazy and will just vote whoever the person in front of them voted. I've done nothing scummy; in fact, have been trying to get and keep this game going since it started. Yes, i'll agree with that, and it does get annoying in a game this small.

I specifically remember wicked saying not to do this kind of thing on day 1. Like she said, losing a townie with this little # of ppl will hurt. I posted that last night, and I've been at school since. I'm very sorry I didnt try to go on during class. :roll:
