do you mean Snowden, the character from Catch-22, quite likely the greatest novel of the 20th Century?


the image of Snowden will always haunt me. I read that novel before I witnessed a real murder, and I can only say that Catch-22 helped prepare me for the horrors and the numbed emotions of real life.
