could be better, of course. winning 1/3rd of my games is not good, nor is it terribad though. Always room to improve.

We shall see how these two current 4 player games of mine go.

I'm on a losing streak, was a Captain a couple of weeks ago and i'm now down to Sgt - but shit happens. If I go on the lash this weekend I will probably miss some turns and plummet even further. On the plus side - when I do start winning again I will get more points.

Pleased but always looking to improve. Mind you, I'm not prepared to sell out and only play certain maps or certain set ups to do so. I enjoy the game in many forms. I would like to make major tho. Got pretty close after a recent win streak, but knew these things ebb and flow so figured it would be too much to ask to continue to climb without a step back.

I want to make a new account, one specially for RT freestyle games, and another for actual games I'll think about between turns <_<

Otherwise my rank gets killed from the first (even though they are as fun as hell), while my rank stays above 1k from the second, as I do well on those, as long as it's not escalating or flat rate >.>

Not to be a jerk, but 1) if you like that style of play, why not just get better at it so your rank doesn't "get killed" by it and 2) why not just play the games you enjoy and not sweat your rank?

We're all better at certain games than others and our rank reflects our aggregate skill at all of them.

Don't play doubles because you think it will make your rank go up. Play doubles because you enjoy doubles. (That was meant for someone else)

In general, why the hell does anyone care about their rank beyond how it reflect on their quality of play. I'll admit, I certainly prefer my rank to increase and I take pride in moving up the ladder. However, only to the extent that I feel it means that I'm becoming a better player at a game I enjoy. I mean, what other reason can you truly find satisfaction in your bloody rank in an on-line game? You can't put it on your resume.

That's the funniest thing about cheating to improve rank. If you want to cheat, cheat at freaking gambling. That way you get money and can buy things. Go swindle people out of their savings. But christ sake, to rise in stature at an on-line game? Really? So you can make Conqueror? Is there a great prize for that I'm not aware of? Geek Nonpareil?

I don't think the scoring system is fair.I'm happy that my win ratio has gone up 7% though (Although my points dropped 400 last week). This shows how I'm really improving and not the Rank.If I only played like ranked players.I'd be a lot higher, but then I'd hardly get to play and I'm addicted
Highest Rank 4th.

I always said I didn't care about rank or scoring, but then I lost my freakin' ass for two months, went from Sarge to Cook and now all of a sudden I care a little bit...

But no: the scoring system is screwed up, the winning percentage doesn't accurately measure what the score is, no one of a high rank will often jeopardize what they have (and who can blame them) so while they trade points amongst each other so do the lower ranks- ultimately it's about the same as flipping a coin.

Blah blah blah... we all know this. And cheating to get ahead of points on an online knockoff of Risk is pathetic, and all my multis agree with me on that one.

I like both styles of play, I just happen to be better at the second <_<

Like... much better >.>

50-60% win rate usually, while my freestyle real time games are around a 15-20% win rate -.-

Anyways, I've tried getting better, but I play with friends, and they typically get better the more we play. Not to mention in those games, playing fast is important, and I'm not very fast -.-

Rank is fun just to compare yourself to others. I feel I could compare much better in types of games, yet I can't do tournaments in those, and people, many times, give me crap about being on a team with a lower rank or something :/ Yet, I don't want to stop playing the freestyle games to get my rank up -.-

Other than that - I don't really care. Just annoying to have people look down on you for having a low rank.

owenshooter... I said I *wanted* too. Not that I will. Cheating of any kind is exactly that - cheating, and I don't particularly want to be a cheater.

Getting back to topic: yup, quite satisfied with my score as of yet, I'll take my time getting to Colonel. Probably a few weeks till I can archieve and maintain that rank for more than one or two games. Simply not good enough for a hat yet. =)
