Is there a list of roles? Because, with this bandwagon thing you're talking about, and the person telling who they are to try to save their life, seems like it could be worthless if someone was like "Spare me! I'm the secret magical ecuadorian princess!". Because well, let's face it, nobody wants to kill the secret magical ecuadorian princess, but if we don't know what she does than she might get lynched.

Neoteny is completely right. You're going to have to guess yourself whether I put any secret magical Ecuadorian princesses in here, if such a claim pops up.

There are, essentially, two kinds of roles: roles that you'll encounter in a lot of games, and roles that are unique to the game you're playing. For a list of common roles, check wikipedia or mafiascum. There are useful links in the sticky that will help you judge how common a role is.

Personally, when I'm scum, I take a perverted pleasure in claiming something outrageous. The vets can tell you more about that

Obviously, no matter how you fake your claim, there's always going to be a risk. And even if your claim is true, it may not save you.

None of the above should be construed as a statement about Jecko7's or Neoteny's scumminess or townieness. It's just a general explanation.
