I'm sure you have, but then you realized that getting elected president/prime minister/Big Kahoola took a lot of time, effort and money. So you probably came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth it. Besides, most political parties and their work have a tendency to be very, very boring most of the time.
Well, here's your chance to try the fun part of politics. Confundia is both the name of the game and the country within it and I'll explain both of them.

The game is basically split into two parts. One of them is a pretty classic forum based roleplaying game. For those of you that aren't familiar with playing RPGs on a forum it's done by starting or posting in a thread that represent one scene. In your posts you describe what your character does, says, what happens and maybe a little bit on how it looks like. Then others respond to the post and a story starts to happen. If any of you doesn't know what a roleplaying game is at all, it's basically (in this case) a co-written story where each participant have their own character and interact with others in a fictional world, limited by certain rules. Unlike most real life roleplaying games we don't roll dices and we rarely fight monsters (although I suppose a war isn't totally out of the question).

Now, the other part of the game is perhaps a little more complex. It is a (simplified) version of real life politics. As a player you have the choice of joining a party, starting your own or remaining politically undecided. Once in a while elections are held to decide which parties shall rule the country for the upcoming months and once a winner has been declared they form a government. There is also the senate where the actual decisions are made through voting so even if your party didn't win, you can effect the future.

For those not particularly interested in the political side of things, there's room for you as well. Like all RPGs there's room for non-political sideplots, be it espionage, character development or romance. It's all good.

The game is currently under development and we're hoping to get started with the actual playing within a month or so, depending on how quickly we can recruit members. Everyone's welcome to participate in the preparations. We got a world to create after all.
