34066. Fireside Poet really went too far here. Usually you wish to play with nice, laid back, reasonable guys who you actually can have some form of interaction with. I can't say anything about his gaming skills, but if you play with him at least make sure you don't upset him since he doesn't seem to be able to listen to reason. When we set the game up we screwed up the settings and it became a standard game instead of a triple game (which is bound to happen now and then after 400+ games). Since we usually play together as a team we have agreed not to play in the same single games since playing singles would eventually only invite cheating accusations and rule 2 violations. First I apologized for not writing him a pm about it immediately and then tried to explain what we saw as a problem I figured that he would be sensible enough to understand. But oh no, he had to go ranting and whining for several days. First in the forum and then in the game chat. Very annoying and very immature.

Fireside Poet's response: alstergren continues to defend deadbeating. Look at the game chat logs and show me where he said he was going to deadbeat because it wasn't a team game. IT ISN'T THERE. Suppose I never went into the forum to confront him on this? NO ONE would have known and it would have been swept under the rug with the rest of his dirt. His convenient "I forgot to tell you" doesn't cut it. Mistake or not, suck it up and take your turns. Grow up, Junior.

Negative alstergren is an epical head case with zero class and completely void of honor. Deadbeat. No explanation given. No excuses. Nothing. I went ahead and looked around to see if he was taking his turns on other games, trying to give the benefit of the doubt and to my surprise, he not only took his turns on his other games, but also posted many times on the forums. I then confronted him on why he wasn't taking his turns and he went into a drivel laden speech on his RIGHT to deadbeat if necessary or wanted, how he was scared of being blamed of cohorting/teaming, and blah blah blah. An obviously feeble attempt to justify himself and his deadbeating. A for effort, F for content and purpose. To quote altergren: "to acknowledge one's mistakes requires a certain kind of maturity", to which I say "murderers can acknowledge mistakes too, but they still have to pay the piper for their actions." Final analysis: Two thumbs down and one finger up... way up. Grow up yourself, Junior.
