Exoskeletons

Postby DaGip on Mon Feb 18, 2008 10:22 pm

Exoskeletons are perhaps the coolest thing! I can't wait until they are available to everybody! The first one is an actual military suit, it might be more evolved by now, but the next one is some crazy Canadian inventor, but his suit is pretty cool, if it proves to be nonpractical, at the very least it is very imaginitive.

Wow! I mean, wow! Probably expensive as hell and it might reduce mobility a bit, but the extra strength is amazing. It's like Iron Man in real life.

dude, i would totally get an exoskeleton. be like Sigourney Weaver in Aliens.
have you ever seen an idealist with grey hairs on his head?
or successful men who keep in touch with unsuccessful friends?
you only think you did
i could have sworn i saw it too
but as it turns out it was just a clever ad for cigarettes.

Well, you could always join the military! LOL! Here is another exoskeleton from Japan. This one the inventor hopes will be used by people that can't walk or people that need help walking. It looks a little stiffer than the Military version, but it seems to be doing the job.

I hope the IronMan movie doesn't suck! The Hulk sucked, and they ruined Spiderman3!

This is the age of Cybernetics, but there is promise in the fields of genetics as well. Can you imagine a genetic Hulk soldier with exoskeleton armor suit? Or a exoskelton suit that allows incredible dexterity that you could do stuff like Spiderman?

Heck, if they rigged the sensors up really well they could give you Spidey sense. I guarantee the government is at least looking into this stuff. Probably too expensive to be realistic, but damn, that was impressive.

some crazy Canadian inventor

I was wondering if this might have been the guy who made the suit to go hang out with grizzly bears. The documentry was pretty interesting, he got some bikers to take baseball bats and beat him untill they were splinters to test it.

Has he tested it on Grizzly bears yet? And who exactly would wear this antibear suit? Hikers? Geesh! Hiking is supposed to be about enjoying nature, I don't know if you could really enjoy it that much wearing that clunky looking thing! Has to be a better bear solution than that thing, in my opinion.

I can't remember why he wanted to go hang out with the grizzlys. He ended up falling and not being able to get up again when he went out to the wild with it. I think he may have went into a zoo and let a grizzly gnaw on him. It's been a long time since I watched, the memorie's a little fuzzy.
