Gads, I’m in a nursery.

Assuming the ā€œpre-40’sā€ was indeed a joke vote, I just may be the oldest on CC. I was born Sept. 28 1958, so I don’t really remember anything until the 60’s. One of my earliest memories was coming home from kindergarten to hear that the president had been shot (Kennedy). I remember the controversy over this new musical group from England called The Beatles, and their new type of music, like ā€œI Wanna Hold Your Hand.ā€

Personal computers, video recording equipment for anyone but TV stations, and a man on the moon were science fiction. Your sandwiches were wrapped in wax paper or this funny-smelling bluish plastic wrap; sandwich bags were coming soon, but they were closed with little twist-ties;ā€ ziplokā€ was still a long way off. If you wanted to get money from the bank, you had to wait until business hours and go to the teller; ATM’s not invented yet.

The cartoons I watched on Saturday morning are now on Boomerang, Nick, & Cartoon Network: Flintstones, Jetsons, Johnny Quest, Space Ghost, The Herculoids Speed Racer. I remember when NBC became the first all-color network (no black-and-white shows)

I was at UConn from ’76 to ’80 when my favorite (secular) groups were popular: Kansas, Boston, Heart. I got introduced to ā€œRiskā€ by some fans in the dorm.

I could go on for pages, but you get the idea. Let’s see if somebody trumps me.
The right answer to the wrong question is still the wrong answer to the real question.
