I wanted to clear the air as some folks have made a mountian out of a mole hill. A few days ago my son and I were accused of cheating as multis. We have duel accounts on the same computer. We did so because I have read that others have done so and it was ok as long as they were not playing games together.

BadMoonRising Is my son.

I try to stay clear of BS as I recognize that on the internet I never know who is speaking, and it is not worth the time. No matter what one says someone will try to poke holes or act rudely.

I logged into his account to moniter his games and forgot to log out and posted. I was speaking as me when describing a game I had won. Read my game log and you will see that I indeed won a game as I described.

Look at our logs and look at our records and it will show no funny bussinesss or cheating. We just like to play risk. Look at our record and feed back and call us cheats. I am not buying another computer so we can both enjoy play.

I understand why they need to set rules and guidlines so I am not angry as there are valid cheats out there. But I am angry at this. I am angry at the hypocracy. This is the end of the email I received.

games with the members mentioned above.

If you have Premium Membership and this is your second violation:
We've cancelled your Premium Membership and blocked you from playing
new games and posting to the forum. The only way to remove this
limitation is to upgrade to Premium Membership once again.

This is just plain extortion. You want to stop cheats fine do so. But do not turn around and say that we caught you cheating but its ok if you pay us for premium. I was more then happy to pay premium when i joined two or so weeks ago.

I would have been more then happy to renew next year. I wont pay another dime and will be more then happy to play my 4 game limit LOL which will probobly help my rating and average...so I am grateful for that.

I hate BS and Wont be gouged for more money.

I personally did it, because I knew there could have been many explanations...and tried to include that with the post...

however, it is a funny situation...someone posted with the wrong account... so theres no escaping a few jokes

there are many families on here.. unfortunately it is a very easy way to hide true multis... I have no problem believing you and nor will many... some think only one account should be allowed form one computer, no matter what

Unfortunately one of you made a mistake, which made it look like cheating. The hunters had no choice but to assume you were.. I believe there are appeals, too.

You cant blame them for this though. Cheaters kill the enjoyment for many players, and so every effort is made to stop them. Had you never posted with the wrong account, its very likely you would never have been busted... it wasnt the two accounts that got their attention, but the fact that a different person was posting from it. In short, it wasnt their mistake...

I believe you fully, but Id have been very surprised of any other action on their part.

This is the problem with real cheaters... they cause problems for everyone, and its why they are so actively and sometimes passionately hunted.

To file an appeal, please go to the "Help" tab and fill out an eticket to the Multiple Accounts department. The case will be reviewed and the decision may possibly change.

The reason convicted cheaters are forced to pay for premium to continue playing is because it greatly reduces the number of cheaters. If the person wants to continue playing honestly they can buy premium, but they are unlikely to buy multiple premiums simply to continue cheating. Also, the threat of another conviction is always there, and the potential cheater will realize that it is not worth losing additional money and their account. Of course there have been a few instances where users repeatedly cheat and are forced to buy premium many times.

I agree with AAfitz here; I want to believe that you are in fact innocent, so please file an appeal and this will be looked at again.

Many family members play here. Rather than take it as an insult just straighten out the misunderstanding. My wife and I play team games together and have been asked many times if we were multi's. '

When you get this cleared up get your son and play a doubles against my wife and I, and maybe another team. Fitz do you feel like donating some points?

Looks like a simple error on your part... and now that you've explained it, it makes sense. Can't blame people for disliking multi's.

Is it allowed to play for someone, on regular basis (for example, pick a tournament and play whole tournament)? I have a great pain hanging on phone with friend. It would be easier just to play using her account...
