I didn't rally like them this year, but I found that peanut comercial was hilarious. And that commercial with What is Love? made me get the song stuck in my head.

For those who don't understand. The Super Bowl commercials are supposed to be like "the best of the best." For some people they are such a big deal that even though they do not like Football (american) they will watch the game just for the commercials.

stupid? I guess some people may say that, but still the commercials are usually very entertaining.

They typically are a cut above mainly because of the outstandingly huge prices for getting a spot. If you are spending as much money as the advertisers are, you generally want to make an impression on the viewer. Additionally, you are reaching an incredibly large audience during the event. These things make the commercials a sort of mini-event on their own. I seriously doubt that there haven't been "Superbowl commercials" threads in the past...

I think the price was 2.7 million for 30 seconds of TV time.

It's well worth it though. Whenever American think of beer, we think of Bud Light, whenever we want to mail something we use FedEx, whenever we're thirsty we grab a Gatorade.

It's capitalism at its best ;).
