Premium scope

Postby jecko7 on Mon Feb 04, 2008 3:07 pm

When you buy premium and then it "runs out", do you get to keep all the games you made?

I don't have premium, but it seems to me that when a person has a week or so of premium left they could just create 200 password-protected games with their favorite settings, and then give the passwords to people in the callout forum for a couple months after they reverted back to freemium.

I have a feeling that there's some kind of system preventing this (given that everyone would just buy one month of premium if this were true), I'm just curious as to what it is.

If you buy premium, and it runs out, you get to keep all of your active games, and you can't join anymore until you buy premium again or you have 3 games.

If your premium runs out when you still have more than 4 games you don't lose them you just get to keep them, but you can't join new ones

If you're looking to "stick it to the man", there's probably another "man" more worth sticking it to. For godsakes, it's $20 for a year. If you play enough games, that's pretty damned cheap. Regardless, it's certainly not an amount of money worth being a douche about.

Ok, ok guys! Calm down! Calm down! Serenity now!

I'm not actually planning on doing this, as I said in my first post. I don't have premium and I don't play enough to warrant buying it. I do not plan on trying to do this!!! It was curiousity! Curiousity made me ask it! I just saw a potential loophole in the system and wanted to see how it was being fixed.

My sincerest apologies to anyone offended, hurt, or outraged at this post.

I'm not offended so much as amused by the notion of trying to get over on freaking risk site. I mean, that would take a bit of effort. That energy could be used towards crimes that could actually earn you something useful. I mean, why not figure out a way to hack your cable box and get free porn or something.
