cnn commentary....

the white house set expectations low...and the president met them...

kind of a backhanded slap for a speech that wasnt awful.

Yes CNN, a totally unbiased & objective view of a Republican president's state of the union speech. In a related story, the Democrats didn't applaud during certain moments. I am shocked!

Back on topic...

Luns, do you know when that picture, was taken? Holy hell she looks about 10 years younger now. Plastic surgery is awesome! I'm gonna go have nightmares now.

BTW, Locke is the best character on LOST, season starts Thursday, can't wait.

Another politician totally discredited after an unfavorable picture. How can anybody ever respect Pelosi if she occasionally gets photographed like that?

She did seem a bit spacy, but come on, who really needs to pay attention? He pretty much decided he's going to be a lame duck, the way he was talking.

His rhetoric on Iran literally had me praying. Please don't do it. Again.

The Kansas governor was very stilted. Would figure the Kansans for a more folksy gubernatorial approach.

I really wanted to write, "gubernatorial."

I liked how long it took Cheney to stand after Bush condemned the genocide in Darfur, whereas he shot up for supporting the war and cutting taxes. Good to see his moral stature.

Ted Kennedy got caught sleeping again. Bless his heart. Not his liver.

My complete incredulity at her utter lack of charisma made the speech more entertaining than it otherwise would have been.

David Brooks made a funny comment about her speech during the News Hour special, "She comes out talking about American unity, and then attacks political pundits! Aren't we Americans, too?"

*ahem*

to threadjack - i saw a billboard today advertising Lost series 4 with whatsisface and the hobbit's girlfriend, except they were in a city and it said 'we have to go back'. This re-piqued my interest a little. I lost my way at the start of series 3 but if anyone knows a website where all the 'answers' are so far, i would like to know it.

I found it quite curious to see the "left" side stay seated every time tax cuts were mentioned.
I guess that shows which side wants to take more of your money......after all, I'm sure they know how to spend your money better than you do, right?

More money in the hands of those who earn it? BAH.......
