What CC is all about

Postby Riazor on Thu Jan 24, 2008 12:15 pm

Some people seem to forget, in their quest for points, ranks and feedback, that this is still a game.

At the night those bugs were happening due to classic v2, I took my turn in an escalating game, cashed in and the site went down. I couldn't get back in time and my turn expired.

I thought this was a lost cause, but to my great surprise I noticed some people still have sense for sportmanship and fairness. The other players agreed not to take cards for 3 turns to let me get my cards back.
This really made my day! This is an example for the rest of you. Think about it, what would you have done?

Special thanks to Seulessliathan, RL_Orange, DiM, steve066 and austex, the players in question

Game in question is 1582987

nice touch and seeing the names involved very typical of these guys
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

I'm glad that there are still some honest players in the top 50 and not everyones got there by underhand strategies.

i think especially in the top players on the site they would prefer not to have any victory tainted by some site malfunction.

ive seen this plenty of times before, the reality is that the top end players are more likely to do this than any others imo.

It's good to know there are still people who play for the fun of it and are good sportsmen and women.

Sorry about that outage again :)

Autoload, do try to actually contribute rather than just spewing mental diarrhea.

Have a good one

id think that higher ranking players are much more likely to do this, as many other have previously said. as a "lower ranking" player, i attempt to play with as much sportsmanship as possible, but those points are always just so tempting.

but to play devils advocate for those who would have screwed you over... its human nature to win

I usually don't spam like that and hate it but this case I had to
