We really don't need a link. Its nothing new.

I think I may take the controversial route and go for Islam. If I'm gonna believe I may as well submit totally.

Jesus, it's not like I'm trying to introduce you to mulletsgalore.

Can I have a list of other things "everyone" has seen so I don't make the same mistake twice?

Thanks in advance.

The term "Kicked in the pants," suits just as well. Even though I believe amanda is no longer here...

It ran out of business because people started to reallize that they where placating wooden carving with burnt offerings.

That, and a certain devotee of Odin called a Berserker (if I remember right) tried to out-do a Chirstian missonary and failed horribly (something about fire). To say nothing of the only way to get into Vahalla really was to die in battle. Sadly, "Straw Death" from illness, old age or some other misfortune were much more common. Thus, few when to Vahalla, most went to Hel (which is more like Greek Hades, a dreary place but not like the Christian Hell, in spite of the linguistic similarity).

It also helped that the Norse Kings and Nobles were the ones converted first.

In which, there are no idols. That, and the idea is to have a close relationship with the Father. Has no one ever told you this? I'm sure OnlyAmbrose or luns or someone else has told you this at some point. The question I have to ask is whether you were listening?

With the rather notable exception of Catholicism.

I also think you managed to miss the point quite effectively. I wasn't asserting that Christianity is based on idol worship, but was rather commenting on the fact you apparently view old Norse religions as foolish idol worship while Christianity makes sence in every concievable way...

Makes alot more sence than what I was believing prior to July 8th 2003 (if I remember right, it's been a while). I found out just how fast one can slip from Atheism to full-on Nihilism and I did not like it one bit! So, after taking a good, hard look at the world and my life, I came to the conclusion I did and I'm sticking with it.
