What day you will die on. not what day you could die on. You don't know how you will die. You could die that morning in your sleep.

I think that knowing which day you would die on (assuming you could be assured of the accuracy of that date) would have both positive and negative effects. You'd be able to do whatever you wanted without fear of death, but as that day would approach you'd feel like you were running out of time. I'm actually not sure which one I'd prefer, but I'm leaning more towards not knowing.

Great Pretender is a determinist who hates free will, wants to rule the universe and kills puppies for fun.

That means "no, it's impossible anyway; furthermore, this poll is bloody stupid and doesn't have a GFY-option"

Problem is that you could be a moron and get yourself in a vegetative state until your death date.

Now, I'm inclined to start an argument on regarding what's considered dead, but since I think a vegetative state is at least as bad as death, I'll have to concede that point. Of course, you could write up a living will that stipulates that the plug be pulled (or something) as soon as possible. Assuming that this would be carried out with reasonable speed, you could probably figure that the date you'd get is pretty close to that vegetative state, should it occur.

I don't know...in one way I would so that I'd have time to make the most of my life [and arrange a very happy and cheerful funeral for myself]. But, in the same hand, I wouldn't want to know because I would start to feel as if I'd wasted my life or I was running out of time.

Well, then it would be impossible to tell you what day you die on. If it isn't fated then they can't tell you. Either way, I said no. I'm fine without a countdown honestly.

No. Because when it happens, it happens. I don't want to know the day I would die, because, due to the circumstance, I would be to scared to do anything that might lead up to it. That is why I make the best out of my life that I see fit.

No.

Less temptation to do something rash I think. Besides, I'd hate to do something I'd otherwise love to do with a proverbial clock ticking, giving me an unhealthy sence of urgency, thus destroying the good feeling I would get by making it an obligation.

No, mainly because I wouldn't do anything different if I knew. Unless I knew I will die in a month I would just live my life normally. I just think it is better not knowing. We're not supposed to know.
If I knew I will die when I'm 93 I still wouldnt live like a manic and do all sorts of crazy sh*t. I could still get messed up or injured. I am living as if I will die when I'm old anyway. Nothing new there. No point really.

People might say "yeah but now you're not sure, if you knew you would probably live a more daring life".. No I wouldn't. I am not afraid of dying, not at all. I'm afraid of getting seriously injured or hurt.
