Quicklink for a game history with particular player?

Postby fmradioguy on Sun Jan 06, 2008 2:11 pm

Hey there,

This may have been suggested before but whenever I start a new game, and I see my opponent is someone I recognize as having played before, I'm curious as to how we've done against each other in the past.

So, I go to Game Finder and have to type in both our names and check the archives. But is there the potential to have a quicklink wherein after clicking on an opponent's profile, you could click on "View List of Past Games with this Player" (or something to that affect)?

Just a suggestion.

Yes, but the current "Find all games with this player" link gives you all the games the player has ever been in. What he is suggesting is a profile link showing only games that both the searcher and the person being searched have participated in.

Thats a good suggestion. Often im searching for games with a certain player to see if ive played them before or to see how ofte ive played with them.

Often I find myself saying... Hey I didn't realize this is a rubber match.

Expanded player profiles will come sometime after the forum software upgrade.

you can just type both of your usernames in gamefinder and see what comes up.

I think the idea is useful enough to justify the additional coding.

But if we plan on putting it in player profiles either at the switch to uBB3 or when we expand the player profiles/stats, I can definitely wait.
