The Virgin Tournament II [winner marand]
Posted: Fri Aug 20, 2021 8:00 amI am going back and revising some of the previous tournaments I ran. In 2010 I ran a virgin tournament designed to get a player their first tournament victory. Let’s see if we can get 32 players into that format this time around.
IF YOU HAVE EVER WON A CC TOURNAMENT YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS TOURNAMENT.
Furthermore if you win a tournament while this one is ongoing you will be eliminated from this one.
This tournament is intended to give one player their very first tournament victory
I'm not sure of the demand for this one but we'll open it up for 32 players
Round 1 will be 1v1 best of three series (freemiums must have 2 slots open and running for this and join 2 games with the third joined ASAP).
maps will be random
settings will be no card, automatic, chained, sunny no trench
Round 2 will be 4 player games (4-each remaining player plays in just one).
settings will be escalating, automatic, chained, sunny. map is random
Final round will again be 4 player
once more a random map with sttings of flat rate, automatic adjacent and fog.

In the event that an advancer is eliminated due to winning another tournament the runner up will advance.
Players will receive 2 invites to join. After that they will be removed and the runner up advanced
