Wii. Cheapness, power consumption, and variety of gameplay.

Im not a huge gamer so the XBox and the PS3 don't apeal too much to me, but I like the concept of the Wii and I would like to try it. Also the price is a factor too - I wouldn't pay the big bucks for the PS3 or XBox 360. I have also been a Nintendo fan (Original, Super, 64, and GameBoy, but not so much of the Game Cube). So, that may influence me a little too.

I'm a loyal Sonyite, though i might convert back to old school nintendo if sony keeps sliping

Only problem i have with the Wii is that they'll charge you and arm and a leg for all the accessories. Imagine if you needed a guitar hero type controller, or DDR pad with every game you bought, then every game would be 80$ plus the new stuff they're proposing seems liek it will be a lot more sophisticated, therefore expensive.

I relaly hope they prove me wrong, since the Wii looks very promising (despite its waay too high price tag...)

High price tag? It's gonna be like $250, compare that to the non-'tard packs of the PS3 ($600) and Xbox360 ($400).

I think that the Wii looks pretty cool and I hope it kicks butt. But I don't think the controller will be precise enough nor the games good enough to keep it afloat. Take Gamecube, okay system, a couple good games, but you wouldn't be wise to take it over a PS2 or a XBOX. Especially with the games all being the same price.

I agree about all the Wii accessories too. They make you buy the joystick part of the thing seperatly. Don't get me wrong, I want it to rock because if it does I'll get one, but I have a hard time seeing that happen.

The system will come with the Wiimote, the nunchuck controller (the joystick part), the component AV cables, the Wii itself, Wii Sports, and a couple other accessories that I can't remember at the moment.

Sure you'll have to buy an SD Card seperately most likely, but that's no different than the Xbox or PS2

i probly shoulda rephrased it. When you buy a Wii Nintendo makes profit off the bat, when you buy a PS3 or 360 sony and microsoft acutally lose money. They count on people buying games to giv them their profit. This means that the Wii should really be valued at less than what it is.

Its like saying that if you pay 20$ for a high quality chocolate bar paying 10$ for a snickers bar is a really good price.

I applaud Nintendo for lowering the price of their system to pretty good levels, but they didn't need to go an appease their investors by pushing the price up like that.

i'm not sure your memory card will still be usable with a ps3, so your unfinished games will be restarted games.

the ps3 looks amazing, sure the 360 and the wii (which, by the way, some people pronounce wee, coincidence?) have their good points, but the ps3 just has so many cool features, like the internet (play conquerclub on a games console, woo! ) but the ps3 wins everytime, plus a bargain at £425 (seriously, apparently blue ray players alone in the U.S cost upwards of £800)

Im down with the wii man. Cheap, and just as good as the others + everyting is wireless. Yeah, the only thing bad is that since sony and microsoft are fighting over whos gonna have better M (mature) and war/shooting games, nintendo is probably going to focus on more children things. But I am looking forward to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I am a huge smash bros fan, and zelda fan. Once the ps3 comes out, Im going to buy a ps2 cuz it will be cheaper (lol) and mine is broken. I need to finish up my final fantasy games!!!!!!
