John Kerry recently implied that the troops in Iraq are unintelligent...
Then he refuses to apologize...
But now, after he realizes his party could have lost many seats in Congress due to bad publicity, an apology suddenly appears...

we need a modern George Washington to fix our country. he disliked the thought of parties, so he encouraged us (US) to break away from that bull. i think we should try to forget our dumb little differences. maybe, no parties, just representatives with ideas

Monroe led this country into a brief period of political tranquility. He was able to get along with both parties so well that they ceased to exist for the 8 years he was in office and would have continued to exist if Jackson hadn't felt like John Quincy Adams hadn't screwed him out of the presidency, which is probably true.

He later came out and said that what he meant was you get us (america) stuck in Iraq (I.E. a jab at President Bush)

When I first heard his original soundbyte, I understood it the way he said he 'meant it'. It's flop, for sure, but there are unfortunately many out there of the same for each party.

"Work hard, study and get an education or you'll end up in Iraq" (not exact but the jist) That IS NOT directed at George Bush. That is talking to young people and the consiquences of not getting an education leads you to the military fighting in Iraq. Of Course Kerry is going to twist the meaning of his words, after pulling his foot out of his mouth.

First off, most highschool dropouts end up enlisting because its one of the few places that will take them.. second off i'm going to quote boxcutta.

Boxcutta wrote:Thank goodness he's not our President. It sure would be embarrassing if we had someone who misspoke in the White House.

Have they changed the enlistment requirements recently? Because it used to be you HAD to have a HS diploma to enlist. My God the Airforce wanted me to get more college credits to enlist!

I never wanted him to be president! He had no stance on anything, he was a puppet and not even an entertaining one like Kermit.

I voted for Michael Badnarik, because at least he had a platform!

I think Jay's right I think you need a high school diploma.

First off we have the most educated military in the history of the world. The average education level of an Army recruit is 13 1/2 years.

Secondly President Bush graduated from Yale and has far and away more formal education than John (hoof in mouth) Kerry.

Last but not least reguardless if Mr. Kerry qualified his statement or appologised or spun his stupid remarks any way he can, he was still stateing what he believes to be true. Worse he is agaiin simply saying anything he can to undermine any effort by any one who is in power when it is not himself.

He has accused the military of every crime in the book with complete blanket statements. In the Vietnam era he accused the entire military of war crimes, during our current war he has accused our military of being terrorists, rapeists, and murderers, and now he admits to considering our military to be uneducated losers.

Be sure that the entire Dem leadership feels as he does. Fienstien, Shumer, Hillary and her wife, The Chapiquidik kid, and all of the rest have all said that the general population is not capable of self determination and needs to be told where to redistribute the money and who should have the power.

Kerry's statements are simply a window into the far left's sole!

Look and be educated.... It is what John has told you to do.

P.S. In 1985 the US military policy was changed such that it would not accept recruits from court systems trying to option convicted persons to military service as an alternative to jail. Further you DO have to have, as a minimum, a Highschool diploma or GED to qualify for military service.

1. Nonsence. No branch accepts high school drop outs.

2. Ill bet that the average education of people in the sevice is comparable to, if not better than, that of civilians.

3. Many young people WANT to be in the service. Its a good life for the right kind of person, but its not for everybody. Just because it isnt for you doesnt mean you ought to assume that the people who choose it are idiots.

Right! Good argument... Well John is a total condiscending elitist dweeb who thinks he is beter than the US citizenry but Bush says silly things too so it is ok that Kerry thinks he is better and smarter than everyone else I mean damn he invented the internet right? Oh ya that was Gore... Well Kerry did.... hmmm well I guess he has never done much of substance but Bush said....

You are obviously one of the sheeple... go back to grazing.

Actually, I just didnt want Bush to be president.

I would have voted for anyone who could put two sentences together without screwing them up as he does. I am still amazed that there are people in our country who think he is an intelligent man.

(and I'm not a liberal BTW)

Freetymes wrote:I mean damn he invented the internet right? Oh ya that was Gore...

And using the exact same style of mis-quoting, Bush recently said he invented the Ipod.

Just because you do not share his political ideology does not automatically make Bush stupid. Do you seriously believe that a truly stupid person, by literal definition, could ever become elected President of the United States?

You can criticize his leadership, his ideas and his policies, but you cannot call the man stupid. As has already been pointed out, Bush actually graduated from Yale with a higher GPA than Kerry.

I didnt think so. But yes, I seriously believe that is what has happened. He certainly doesnt do or say anything to convince the American people otherwise and it seems they are catching on. I honestly dont think he is very bright. I think he has excellent handlers & speechwriters though...even though they sometimes use words that are too big for him.

And we all know that GPA and the college you graduated from are a true measure of ones intelligence.
