I'm assuming this is illegal (If I'm wrong, please correct me). Aren't there rules against illegal downloads in this forum?

You're not wrong. The makers of Risk II haven't made it freeware... and I'm pretty certain it's not abandonware quite yet, and even if it WAS abandonware is illegal

*sigh* :(

It can be reasonably argued that the game is abandonware after six years... However, even if it was abandonware, this is not a forum for things like this. Even if the chance for being sued for it is low, there's still a chance. Basically, I'm sure the people that run this site would rather not touch something like this, and I would consider this good reason for banning. Just delete the link. There are better places to share things like this.

Does this particular copy of RiskII link directly to the warzone?

Basically, the publisher relinquishes all restrictions on free distribution of Risk II (this version anyway) on or after January 1, 2006. This is why the MSN Gaming Zone released it's contract on this game.

So basically it is better than abandonware, it is legal abandonware.

I can provide the full text if needed, otherwise I am sorry for causing trouble on your non-Risk II server.

Long Live Risk in all of its forms!

I'll believe that if you can give me a link to an article that says that.
