hattrick.org - another good internet game

Hi, friends.
1st, a little warn: as my friends probably realized already, I abandoned that tribal wars thing. That game sucks.

2nd, I found a good internet game I would like to know who is playing there, and invite others to do so. Hattrick.org is a soccer manager game, very good, I can say. It was created in 97, and almost 20k players in Brazil (you can see Brazilians usually dont like to much of internet games... 20k is an impressive mark). Even more in other countries, so be prepared to start the game in 8th or 9th division :D

A good point: you spend only a little time playing, so it doesnt trouble your real life (unlike CC  ) In fact, you can give orders to your team for your next games if you will be offline, so dont worry (too much) about vacation, etc.

So, those wanting give it a try, welcome :)

The number of teams is limited. So, the game masters will give you an abandoned one. It can last for some days... but the game deserves the wait.

And I will challenge you next week, Haydena, but I have no money for the trip, so your team will visit Brazil (to crush me, Im sure, since Im in 7th division) :)

How many divisions are there in England?

You're on Marv, oh and I'll be playing my first team as my reserves are out in the league to make sure I go down this season  .

There are 7 altogether in England, at the moment I'm in division 5 but I've been in the same league for 8 seasons now and it's getting really boring  .

When this happens, you need close all hattrick windows in your browser, and open again. If you return there now, it will work. (Or click refresh?)

About growing waiting list, I suppose its people joining :D

There are quite a few HT players here

There is me, Andrew O, Haringtons and Thommo, and that is just off of the top of my head.

If anyone wants a friendly or some pointers look up Ginger Nuts XI in div 5

Tips? Give a good look at the players to buy. In your team there are some that are not sellable. Identify them and fire them, dont put them to sell. Buy some better players, but in the start your best players will probably be in your initial squad, you will only substitute useless players by some a bit less terrible ones. Dont pay more than 10k for those, unless its a player you can use in more than one position.

About 7 points in 3 matches, its normal. As you are in a terrible division full of bots, and the worst players, even an abandoned team can win some games. But when you get the team, you get new players, so, its like a restart. You need rearrange the squad, because the players are placed in completely wrong positions.

Oh, Im up to friendly too, Brazil, division VII.34 But I cant travel to other countries now due to low money :?

It's all about training 8) .

Decide what you're going to train (best ones are playmaking, scoring and maybe defending or keeping) and buy in six 17 year old passables or solid (dont settle for inadequate, and excellent 17 year olds are too expensive) with the one you want to train as their main skill, make sure three play league matches, three play friendlies, this will increase your money later on. Make sure you have at least a passable coach with good leadership for training, and put training on the high 90%. You will later see some progress quicker as they were higher passable or solid when you bought them, make sure you play your best three in league games, and then worst three in frendlies of course :).

Oh, and when buying in new players for the other positions, buy people at least solid or excellent to begin with, until your squad is full with them, then when upgrading make sure you only buy players at least two skill levels higher than the one you are replacing.

When your trainees hit brilliant/world class/supernatural/titanic, sell them, and buy in new stock :).

I've found that's what works, although my team still sucks. :) (That's probably because I keep forgetting to set up my team for friendlies properly and then my training gets messed up)

Training isn't so great for profit these days since the transfer market crashed. It's been in a recession for so long, that I recently purchased a titanic keeper for only $4mil USD. I sold a couple WC keepers 2 years ago for over $4mil each. I find that my crowd revenue is more important than ever, especially with a payroll of $154k/wk. But training is still the best way to improve your club.

And Marvaddin, if you can't travel for an international friendly, I think you have problems worse than $6000 (12000 reais) plane tickets. In fact, I found your team and took a look at it and I noticed several problems. Number one, you have a weak trainer, which means that you're getting practically no training. You should hire an external coach: passable trainer and poor leadership. Leadership on a coach at this point in the game is as irrelevant as your team spirit. Until you can consistently put up a weak (high) midfield or better, your coach will have little-to-no effect on your midfield. For now, training is FAR more important, and a coach of this type will only cost $79,600 (159.200 reais).

Secondly, you're playing a 4-4-2, which is all fine and good, but you need to choose something to train and maximize your ability to train in that position by playing the right formation. For example, if you choose to train scoring, put your players in a 4-3-3 or a 3-4-3 formation in every match so that you can train 6 forwards a week (3 each match). It appears you are training wingers (maybe), so buy more players 20 years old or younger with passable or better winger. If you're going to play them at wingback, make sure they have passable defense too. Remember, now is the time to set yourself up to succeed later, winning games right now isn't as important as improving your team for better wins later and promotion.

There's a ton of newbie guides around to help you out, I recommend reading the wiki page and the links that follow.[/url]

I bid 76000 for a player solid in defending, passing and set pieces. Too much? You cant get rid of a bid can you (I tried to read the instructions but they are huge, i read about a quater of it b4 figuring ive forgotten half the stuff already anyway)?

Check my team out: Ghoongta FC. Tell me what i should do to it, if anything.
