Ok norse's 15 minutes of fame are almost or if not finished, what was the turning point and where did it all go wrong?

To be fair to the guy, he was still incredibly popular (approx) 6 months after he was banned, which is a record i reckon will never be beaten.

Something like that, Though it may have more to do with people actually realizing that Norse was well, an ass of the highest degree.

Well, it goes like this.

Norse was this very witty character with an impish smart-nature about him. His descriptive talent in his writings were (and still are) good for a story and a good laugh. I must say, I do miss Norse in these forums, and to see him pop in as a multi from time to time was quite funny for a time; but now it is becoming old hat.

I was fine with Norse until the last time the server went down, and I posted in NOTA. I couldn't help myself but make the truthful comment that the only reason for the NOTA forums is for CC members to communicate when CC's server is down, plus I added that the forums there were like watching flies take a shit or something like that:

Norse got offended over my comment about his precious little NOTA, that he told me to go somewhere else (which I gladly did) and immediately the next day I popped in the NOTA forum and my membership there had been communicated to me that I was now only a guest, and that I had to apply for membership:

Oh well, life goes on. I can easily live my life without NOTA or Norse.

But his popularity remains, as I am the only one that advocates Norse's name (all be it in a negative fashion) which in turn sparks curiosity in the little punk ass jerk.

He's good fun. But he is genuinely racist, which makes it difficult to respect him.

I don't think so, MandyBaby. If Norse didn't do it himself, then he was working the backstage like a groupie in heat. Regardless, if Norse didn't do it, then the real perpetrator should come forward instead of lurking in the NOTA shadows like a cowardly scum bucket, but of course that ain't gonna happen. Why? Because the individual that did it can't come forward and tell me precisely why my membership was stricken to guest status. So what if I expressed my opinion about the forum there, it is the truth. Things might have picked up a bit over the whole wicked incident, but it will tone down again to a more miserable, unexciting level again. The NOTA will only see spikes in participation when there is some type of CC-based drama (such as the server going down, an unexpected site change, somebody getting fired and put on welfare, etc...) that happens, otherwise things will revert back to its normal boring levels.

Well, Mandy, if Norse was such a good friend of mine, why treat me in that fashion. He pulled that type of shit on his friends all the time. Did he ever think that most of what I post is for entertainment and to be enjoyed? That I like being a little off-the-wall to keep people on their toes from time to time? And whether or not he is a mod, the fact is that after he made that statement to me, that message appeared on my computer when I try to access the site now. If it wasn't Norse, then the real mod who did it should come forward and explain to me why it was done.

Try to explain that free speech bs to both myself and Jay. Both of us had run ins with NOTAs crappy impish mods. Free speech applies to everyone in NOTA except Jay and I, apparently.

Yep, I agree...bastard Norse, but I don't hate the guy. I am just pissed over the whole situation that happened. Someone should just tell me why this is happening to me and why Jay's posts were deleted as well. They can deny it all they want, but both Jay and I know that something happened. And since we can't get any clear answers, then I just won't participate in the NOTA forums anymore.

I replied to that statement in the beginning of this post. Mandy, you are making a good apologist for the NOTA crew. You do have some good people over there, however, my experience has been mired and I don't think any amount of coaxing or explanation could ever bring me back.

I would like to mention that I spoke with wicked on Live Chat last night, and she told me the only reason that they would have stripped my membership and instated me as a guest would be that they considered me a multi.

Let it be known that I have never, nor ever will, have a multi lurking around CC or even NOTA's boring ass forums. I never got an email telling me about the status change or the multi accusation. I would like to hear the evidence. Those responsible can reply in this thread, as I don't value the NOTA forums anymore and would never ever waste my time filling out an E-TICKET to have them investigate something that is quite clearly someone's anal idea for a joke.

I wasn't whining here, Ink. This thread wasn't even created by me, I was fine in not saying a word. But other members thought otherwise, such as Brooksieb and MandyB. But I am done explaining to them the why's and I am ready just to let this thread die out. And as I stated, I don't plan on talking to Hecter about being reinstated, as his moderation in the forum has lost my respect. If Hecter wants to talk about the issue, he can do it here in the CC Master Forum. NOTA was a good idea in the beginning, but I am afraid it has devolved from its once innocent, brand new forum feel. One that was supposed to allow freedom of speech, but instead has allowed forum moderation abuses to occur...sure, CC mods have their issues, but I have never had Wicked/Twill/Andy ever ban me without a thorough explanation in an e-mail. I did not receive such a courtesy from Hecter's forum.
