I just read this. It is considered the worst banking collapse in history!

... Don't try to buy a $300,000 house when you're working at WallMart.

... <edit> I just read the LA Times article on the failure. It's the 2nd biggest failure, they claim, and going to cost about 4 billion to bail out. That's not so much, in the grand scheme of things.

It's not just IndyMac that's a problem, practically everything in the American economy is going out of control.
