From what I hear it will not hit the Earth but pass close enough to cause a pole shift, possibly violent earthquakes and such. It would be catastrophic to life on Earth.

Not saying anything for or against here, but I would like to know how a meteoroid's near miss would case a magnetic pole shift. I mean, I know that the poles shift and all, and we're in that process now, but why would a flying hunk of iron cause the change of poles?

Though if the poles do shift, I would understand that it might cause earthquakes as the shift probably will mean a change in the rotation of the core. So. Whatever.

Something like that. From what I understand it's the one that will come by in 2029 and again in 2036 that we really need to worry about. If I remember right it will be visible with the naked eye in 2029 but not likely to hit us but depending on what happens when it goes around the sun there's a decent possibility it could on the way back.

Just because it has a gravitational pull doesn't mean it's a planet. I mean doesn't one of the asteroids in the asteroid belt have a smaller asteroid orbitting around it?

That still doesn't answer my question about the pole shifts. Also, the fact that the entire scientific community either can't see what's there or that they know about it but are covering it up for unknown reasons are each equally improbable.

I can see why it would lend credence to a conspiracy theorist, though.

I really thought he was basing it solely off of gravitational pull. But seriously, do you have a more updated article?

Others have them being different planets altogether.

if this nibiru existed, it would have long ago been detected. its gravitational pull on pluto would have caught the eye of astronomers decades ago. unless you can actually SHOW ME the article in which pluto's orbit seemed to be affected by a huge object that we can't see with our huge telescope and that our space probes haven't picked up yet.

Well, actually, the scientific community has long been aware of some sort of an gravitational anomaly outside the known solar system affecting the outer planets. However, if the orbit of this anomaly was as elliptical as the article would lead us to believe the same scientists would have discovered it long ago, once it came close to the distance of those outer planets.

Yeah, something is going on. I've seen a lot of ideas put fourth. Ideas such as, another planet, the solor system below use, a large clumping of dark matter, and most importantly, Jupiter. But I did read that article on AOL the other day about scientist seriously asking the question, "Is there another planet in our solor system?"

But I thought that the mean consensus was that Nibiru was actually Jupiter? Are we just tossing all reasonable ideas up in the air?

How about these, "the sun will not give its light and the moon shall turn blood red". What is intriguing about Nibiro is that it could block out the suns light and if Nibiro reflected off of our moon guess what color the moon would appear to be? Red, because Nibiru is a red planet.
