WALL-E

Totally took me by surprise. It's probably my favorite movie to come out this year. I went in thinking it was going to be a stupid kid's movie and came out realizing that it was almost a commentary on consumer culture and love... brilliant graphics, amazing attention to detail, interesting plot, and something totally different from any movie I've ever seen before.
Anyone else see it? It's probably the first rated G movie I've gone to see since I was 8, but it's also the first movie I've come out of supremely satisfied that I got my ten bucks worth since... well MAYBE since Star Wars III came out, but probably not even then.

Loved it. Not for the reasons most people will, but for reasons all my own. My favorite Pixar movie to date, but I won't be shocked if lots of folks here don't enjoy it as much as I did.

And I don't even know what movie you guys are talking about. I am assuming it is another PIXAR hopping table lamp movie. Isn't PIXAR part of
Disney?
WALL-E...what does it mean?

Went and saw it with thw wife and kids. Another good Pixar movie as usual that your family can enjoy. The short with the magician and rabbit was just as good.
Here is the official website.

So is this a good one for a bunch of high school kids to go see?
I want to go see it, I just don't know if I should get a bunch of friends or go with my family.

I don't go by reviews. Too many "highly rated" movies suck like "Blair Witch". And there are sometimes "gems" in the low rated films.

Yes, it is a PIXAR film.
Last I heard, no, PIXAR is not Disney. But I've been known to be dead wrong before.

Yes there are reviews which are completely wrong. AGree with you there. But when every person who's seen it, bags it out, see imdb page, it's pretty shit.

I want to see Get Smart. I do NOT want to see the Love Guru, Zohan, or Meet Dave...
And although Wanted looks like corny shit, my cousin saw it and thinks it was actually good. Any second opinions?

Ok, The Happening I was not impressed with. The idea behind it was intruiging, but the execution was abyssmal. Zooey Dashunal(?) - Worst. Name. Evar! - was appaling! She wasn't this bad in Hitchikers! What happened?
WALL-E I may see, looks good from the trailers.

It's an excellent date movie

But seriously, I think it would be good with pretty much any group, friends or family.
Wall-E got a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Happening got 19%. Enough said.
And Get Smart was pretty funny

But incredibly dumb (in a funny way).

Well went to see it today, not a bad movie, not the best but ok. I didn't like the reason behind it, I thought it was unrealistic, they shoulda went with terrorism. (but if you watch the end, you can take it that way)

I'm 35 years old, not really into Pixar movies. And as I've already said, Blair Witch was pumped up to be the best horror movie since the Exorcist. It wasn't even the scariest movie since ET.

WALL-E was just the name of a fleet of garbage disposal robots, and the main character is the last of those robots still working. I don't think the acronym was ever really explained in the movie.
Good movie though. Saw it with my girlfriend today. Definitely had something to say about our consumer society, but it didn't attempt to shove it down your throats, which is the best way to artistically present an idea.
