Not enough politics threads to warrant their own subforum. Plus some threads fall into the realm of more than one "category", i.e. might be about politics and religion.

Could do, although spam was the bedrock on which this part of the forum was founded, and I think it would be a betrayal of our heritage and our fallen comrades to purge the main section of Off-Topic Topics of it's spam and move it to it's own sub-forum.

The OT forum actively existed before an election year and it'll continue to be just as active after the election year. That we have a spike in political threads now is just that, a temporary spike, not a reason for a subforum. Most of the convo is within a small number of threads.

can we have a seperate subforum for mods to take out their personal anger on unsuspecting innocents? at least then we could keep that behaviour off the rest of this site
