Despite my often overly outspoken opinions on the background of the stories, I can see where the appeal for these movies comes from. It is not my preferred genre, however, so I probably won't unless I'm really bored one night. Glad you enjoyed it, however.

Can we turn this into a debate thread? There's a unicorn in mosley's avatar, visual proof that unicorns exist, and not shaky like that Youtube video someone posted a while back. There's even someone riding it.

I will likely watch it before too long, even though I didn't love the first one as much as most Christians did. I love how Christians find the time to watch these movies time & time again but insist they are too busy to regularly read the Bible.

human nature, and all of that. everyone wants the meat, but they don't wanna have to raise, slaughter, clean and prepare the livestock...

fortunately, there were cats like C.S. Lewis who didn't mind doing that kind of work, and sharing it with the world.

as for the movie, i'll probably see it on DVD. i loved those books as a kid, but not nearly as much as i loved LOTR... of which i saw all three opening weekend and then went and bought the super geek extended versions on DVD.

Narnia will not get the same kind of love from me. i will rent it though. too much nostalgia attached.

I'm up for a serious debate.

Clearly, that's just a poor horse with a horn glued to its head. It's a right-wing fascist neo-nazi evangelical conspiracy to deceive the masses into believing the story of the Flood. This has been proven by such credible sources as Wikipedia.

I saw it, it was better than I expected.

Except the whole (spolier warning)Spanish invading narnia thing

J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis are geniuses(sp?) and after watching the LOTR movies and the first Narnia, I think Prince Caspian will earn my attention too.

The books are classics. The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe was a let down and I doubt the Prince Caspian will be better. And what about the Magicians Nephew which was the first book and the Horse and His Boy? They were both missed.

Ah man! Would you just give in already? The "surprising numbers" of people that were supposed to show up and vote for him seem to be 5 guys making thousands of accounts across the web making a big fuss.
