Judging from his username it could be related to Harry Potter, but I guess I'm too old as well.

It's Downfall Day in more ways than one.
The Germans surrendered to the Russians on this day, 63 years ago.

Good film too.

Tricky one this, as the germans surrendered to the russians over a space of a couple of weeks (different german armies at dif times, obv)
But i thought the commonly accepted date was VE day, 7th/8th May (i might have got those wrong) but my pedantic little point is that its not the 2nd May.

GREAT film.

Too bad he didn't have a gun on him. He could have popped Harry in the head and no one would have seen it coming.

That would have been the best ending ever.

I thought he died because he divided his power into those things, can't remember what they were called.

horcrux
he died through his arrogance of thinking he knows all of magical secrets yet he didnt know of the true elder wands power and that taking harry's blood in re-birthing tied harry to this earth as long as voldemort was alive due to lily dying for harry
so it was several things
the thing that infally finished him was his arrogance towards snape and the elder wand stuff but yer numerous things led to his downfall

Oh yeah, Snape killed Dumbledore so Voldemort wasn't the one who inherited the elder wand. In the end it showed that Harry had forgiven Snape for killing Dumbledore.

Ok, I just gotta wonder then, if magic in the air makes normal instruments not work, how is it that the Weasleys had a car that worked? I assume there's plenty of magic by the Weasley house. The Ministry Department of Something-or-other also had cars; they sent them to the Weasley house to get the Potter brat one time. There's probably also plenty of magic by the Ministry garage, too. Cars are normal machines, how come they worked?

I'm pretty sure it was only electronic signals that didn't work around places heavily saturated with magic.

No, no, and no. If you like Harry Potter that much, you NEED to grow up a little quicker and get a social life.

but then people would notice. And there was magic in the city so trains shouldn't work. And the offices around the place in the city would've noticed. Why cars and not guns? As you see just one hole in the "universe"
