What does this phrase mean to you? Have you ever had to care for someone? Who do you care about?

Also, how can I put this into a presentation?

to try and give you a serious answer, and since it's kind of a personal question, i'll just give you a kind of general answer:

the downtrodden.

the people who get picked on. the people who get beaten up. the people who no one defends, for fear of going against the in-crowd and looking uncool.

those are the strangers i care about. those are the people i'll throw down for, even if i'll never get anything for it.

other than that, the obvious answers of family and friends.

I am torn daily between my absolute hatred for bullies and equal distaste for idiots. Givers find takers and personal responsibility is the ultimate standard. I am empathetic for some, but "caring" is an obnoxious term that really is too amorphous and really requires additional definition.

Got it in one. And I have to do a presentation not an essay. Expand on downtrodden

My answer is in my job title...

But, to be more specific, caring means, essentially to do your very best to put yourself in someone else's shoes to try to really understand their needs .. and then act accordingly.

Specifics depend on who you are, who they are and the circumstances. For example, caring for an infant means holding them a LOT, feeding, bathing, clothing and generally comforting them.... but as that child gets older, caring often means keeping your face blank while they throw a tantrum making sure they are safe (won't roll off the steps or some such), but otherwise ignoring them. Caring for an older child could even involve calling the police to have them arrested (worst case scenario) or placing them in a psychiatric institution so they won't harm themselves or others.

Anyway, if you are smart enough to be here, you are smart enough to come up with your own answers ... but asking others IS often a good way to brainstorm and help you focus, which is why I answered you.
