I remember I was still kinda sorta young and into it when the second "generation" came out, by the third it sounded like they were pulling characters' ideas and names out of their ass...

Now that I look back, Yu-Gi-Oh! was pretty lame. Watching the abridged series of Yugioh I can still remember the first season, and, well, it really pointed out a lot of the things that didn't make sense. I actually read the manga for Yugioh also, and it was much better because there was actually DEATH, and in the first volume there wasn't even any mention of cards yet.

Actually...

I would watch the first few episodes of yugioh on saturday mornings when there was nothing else to do... and eventually it payed off because I got more of the jokes than my friends did while watching the abridged series. :lol:

Yeah, I didn't like Yugioh but Digimon was actually surprisingly good.
