that might be an indicator of how short the attention span is of the average CCer, or at least of people using the Internet in general.

wish i had the citation, but i remember reading an article that said that multi-tasking causes an across the board drop of 10 IQ points while the multi-tasking is being performed.

so, having multiple windows open, IM, email, etc... we're all going to be dumber and more easily distracted than we would be with only a typewriter or a pen and paper in front of us.

along with the immediacy of our texts being "published", pushes the probability of tangential writing and responses way the hell up.
