I know that here in America we've got problems with driving while using cell phones but this is a little ridiculous. What's going on with you people over in Great Britain?

I hear the same company that has said it will provide the padding so it can advertise, is also running tests by providing the same type of padding along the ground for these people so their knuckles don't keep getting scraped so badly.

118 118 will provide the padding, and in return will be allowed to advertise on them.
I think you'll find that this is the real reason that it is being implemented

I see nothing wrong with the idea. I don't live near any of the places it's going to be rolled out in, so it doesn't affect me in the slghtest.

i believe i would also have this problem if i spent more time in areas more densely populated with lamposts.
