Alright chaps, tis Six Nations time again.
How do you see things shaping up from next weekend? Seems to me that England have a fairly good squad. The decision not to play Tait was sound one based on his performance. A few tried and tested, a few young guns. Should be interesting.

Ouch... Can we not start that war again? Frankly, I hate American Football, but I am sick of the threads.

Of course. This is a thread for the competition, anyway. No arguments. Hopefully will get more interest when the Brits come online.

C'mon Scotland, with Chris Patterson's(i know he is not going to be wearing the number 10 shirt) kicking we have a slight chance of a couple of upsets.

I cannot wait. Everyone has seemthing to prove, essentiallym, and i think it's going to be a great competition. I don't get too partisan about this (excpet when france are playing, well, anyone) and it would be brilliant to see wales and ireland pick themselves up, and then of course there is new international force Italy™ with a shitload of confidence... ENgland, meanwhile, are WC finallists in name and half the squad, and look what happened the last time that was the case.
ah i cannae WAIT min! Bring on the 6 hour rugby marathons! Bring on john inverdale and brian moore!

They're not starting him, are they?
Seems like a mistake to me. He's a consistently good kicker.

I would start Patterson. The way he has been kicking the last couple years he always good for a few points if they can get him in range.
I like to see all the teams play well, except France obviously. Not sure if I hold out much hope for Wales. I dont why know they cant click, they've got some talented players.
Ireland will want to prove something after their abysmal world cup.
France are France and will either play well or self distruct.
Italy. Who knows? They have the potential to cause upsets.
I hope England win and play well, but I will settle for just winning. Like I said during the world cup - whats the point of playing atractive rugby if you dont win.
So come Saturday I will have my Guinness, nibbles and remote control shouting ' f*ck OFF REF' and 'COME ON ENGLAND' much to the annoyance of the mrs.

Perhaps you should drink something more English. Only we Irish are allowed the Guinness at 6 nations weekends!
Not too sure how we'll do though. It all looked so great when we nearly won it last year but the worldcup was some setback and a half. At our best we can beat anybody but I'm not so sure whether we can pull that out of the bag so often now, let alone for 5 full games.
this is how I probably see it:
1st: France
2nd: England
3rd: Ireland
4th: Italy
5th: Scotland
6th: Wales

I think he's been named on the bench. He's not too hot on the wing really, so I suppose it makes sense.

My great grandfather was from Wicklow, so I feel justified(just).

Its the age old argument again. Both are full body contact sports. The only difference is that the girls use pads and the men dont. Simple as that.

Anyway, lets not debate the merits of either sport. This is the Six Nations thread. Keep it Rugga please chaps. Tally ho.
