Do you know what's fun?

Being up until 3 in the morning finishing an essay you have to hand in the next day. Without the aid of caffeine. At least I was pretty satisfied with the result and still managed to get 5 hours of sleep. Strange how I end up finishing (and usually starting) every essay I write the night before I have to hand it in.

I've done this before, and I believe that I do some of my best work while I'm under immense pressure to get it done. (like doing a 2 page worksheet for spanish class 5 minutes before class starts)

Some people work best that way. I've never finished an essay until at least the night before the night before the deadline. The trick is to get your research finished, your notes organised, and everything else sourced before you start writing.
That's the way to avoid writing the essay if you're a procrastinator like me. Do the groundwork so that the rest is just typing up.
Good luck man, I've been in that position. The only advice I can give is don't worry- it's done now, and take whatever your examiner says to heart. They're much smarter at it than you, as annoying as that is.

Yeah, the pressure really helps, there's no time like half past one at night for being creative and academic at once. The last two essays in that course went well enough, and I wrote them the same way, I hope this one might be the best yet.

That's not fun, that's just a relief.

I work best well into the night. Throughout my first few years as a student people I lived with thought I did absolutely no work because they would go to bed before I began. I'll never forget the horrible bus-ride after half and hour or so of kip to hand your essay in, only to realise you forgot the bibliography...

I have to leave for class in 3 hours and I still haven't started writing my essay. It's not exactly huge, but I should probably get working on it.

What's it about? Do tell so we can endlessly bitch about our views on the matter, then all not write our essays.

I have to do one on the Tonking incident, I'm thinking of quoting Ron Paul for kicks.

It's on problems with American public education. Out of fear for my safety I will withhold my personal opinions on the matter.

Just write your own quotes and attribute them to Mark Twain. It's not like anyone would notice.

I've definitely done that before MeDeFe. Now I try to start researching my papers immediately after the 1st class. The paper pretty much writes itself after that.

i tell you what...as much as procrastinators (and im one of them) cite the intangible benefits of waiting till your in the zone via deadline...if you have the discipline to get going on things right away...it creates work of a much higher quality.

Potentially tonka but perhaps self-discipline is an unacheivable ideal. Take me for example, I have an exam tomorrow and the day after and I'm currently assing around on conquerclub.

Ah, yes. The last few hours before you've got a project due. What do you do? I wank.
