If you had one last meal .. let's say it's the end of life as we know it.
What would you choose?
3 course:
- Starter
- Main Course
- Dessert
Mine would be:
Starter:
Scallops - Lightly Barbecued
with a simple sauce drizzle, on a bed of rocket.
Main course:
Beef Wellington
Stuffed with spinach, leeks and herbs (not Pâté)
Served with perfectly crisp potatoes, roasted in Duck fat
Haricot vert, perhaps carimelized carrots and roasted yams
Served with a rich port and balckcurrent sauce.
Dessert:
And a mixed fruit brûlée

hmm what Belgian beer Norsey?
I have quite a taste for Leffe blonde at the moment..
Wellington would be medium to rare for sure.
I would go for the cigar too; a Romeo and Juliette but a couple of the half sized ones.
I would go for a cointreau on ice to go with my cigar... i think, i may change to a Portuguese Brandy.

Yes it's a bit sweet. I usually take one at the beginning of the evening and then I move on to darker beers.
Also, I live 20 minutes (bicycle) away from a beer-tastery/museum/cafe. They have about 70 different types of beer and 6 changing ones each month. It's awesome!!!

I'd have a large Tanqueray and tonic, lime squeezed in to taste as aperitif!
to accompany my meal a Rioja Reserva, 1996.
As i say, probably a brandy with my cigar and a cointreau as my last drink.
Then perhaps whatever Somali leaves when he hits his desert!
and finally onto my dessert .. easy on the brûlée!

I'd probably go for a blunt, followed by a fat wad of pork chops, all topped off with a few bottles of Cava.

Might as well taste some human flesh when we're going to die anyway.

No alcohol or drugs for me...I want to stay sober while I die, it makes for a better transition. As for a last meal: NewYork strip rubbed with my secret rubbing spice, grilled onions and portebella's, Busch NA Brew (the closest thing to tasting like real beer without all the alcohol), a good spinach salad with chickpeas and blackened salmon drizzled with tahini...and for desert...Ben and Jerry's icecream...all flavors will do, but NewYork Super Fudge is a must!

very nice Satan, I love baby octopus in particular...
Octopus either has to be pickled or fresh out of the Sea.
Snapper.. bloody perfect succulent fish.. texture is about perfect in a fish.
Ahh the Bellini and then a little stuffed poodle for dessert?
