Interesting little article I found:

http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig7/muratore5.html

It works off of several assumptions, but they all seem reasonable. Anywho, the idea is that Ron Paul certainly has a chance in the primaries, despite outward appearances.

Could very well be. I know I won't miss election day! Also, imagine all the military troops that will be voting for him...there are a lot, my brother in the Marines included! The troops are supporting Ron Paul more than any other candidate. And since they are the ones that have to fight this war...I say we give them what they want, a real American patriot! Go, Ron Paul!

Wow! Over 50%, that's what, 2.5% of republicans? Unbelievable!

2.5% of Republicans out of the 7.8% who actually vote in the primaries is a sizable fraction.

Keep in mind that it isn't as a whole, it's state-by-state. Since his popularity is over the internet I'd say theres an even spread over the nation, which really means that he is unlikely to win any states, never mind more than anyone else.

Ron Paul, A pro-life libertarian.

He'll get a lot of votes, but he'll lose the women and pro-choice votes.

Yeah, I doubt he'd stack up well against most democrats.

I don't see what that has to do with anything. 7.8% of Republicans nationally go to vote on primary day, and 2.5% of Republicans nationally support Ron Paul. Even if that number ISN'T evenly distributed throughout the states, he's bound to win several states assuming voter turnout for him is above average - which it is likely to be, given the enthusiasm of his supporters.

Because he's racist? And he's FOR the constitution!

Don't forget - He's not attracting individuals, he's attracting right-wing idiots.

No-one's produced any figures for likely turnout of voters in the Ron Paul camp as opposed to other camps. Also do you think maybe if it looks like Ron Paul is doing well other Republicans who usually wouldn't bother will decide to get out and vote to keep the loon away? I think thats certainly a possibility...

I wouldn't have thought there would be much difference between Ron Paul supporters and any others. A lot of Ron Paul supporters we see on the net seem to be a lot of talk, but little else. You watch.

Do you really believe that? So this group of people should be able to find and deal with any and all that disclose info. about them? They are powerful, not God.

You really believe that it takes a lot of power to delete stuff on the internet?

That's a fool's bet, there's no chance Ron Paul gets the nomination.
