I found this interesting Forum for you Fantasy Buffs. Apparently Wesley Snipes is being considered for the role of Drizzt...big mistake I think. I would like to hear your opinions on this and if you think Snipes is the best choice, and if not, then who?

Snipes? Nah too....bulked up; besides he's got Blade already.

Maybe Will Smith, but he has to stay off the weights for a while to get a more realistic elvish physique.

forum thread is from 2005. Old news. According to RA Salvatore he is approached about once a year with a serious movie offer, but has received nothing good enough to go forward with.

Guy already has enough money and some great things going on. If I were him I would try to get Peter Jackson and a major studio. As far as Drizzt goes, thats a tough role and it is going to require make-up. Snipes is not a bad choice, but I think there are others that would be better.

I would actually try and find an asia MA specialist, someone along the lines of Jet Li. They have the appropriate physical build and the dexterity to pull it off.

I just discovered Blade 4 wasn't starring Wesley. I felt cheated.

Also, RON PAUL!

Michael Jai White would be much better.

Snipes can lick my balls... He thinks he is a reincarnated egyptian pharaoh.

... Snipes? ... bad idea. I like the guy, but Drizzt had a lot of character (if a bit dark). Snipes lacks the depth, imho.

I was thinking the same thing...they could get an Asian martial artist to play Drizzt...then all they would have to do is use makeup or CGI on him. I think you are right. I hope RA Salavatore goes for it! I would love to see Drizzt and everyone else on the big screen.

Hopefully it would be in league with LOTR and not something totally disappointing like Dungeon & Dragons the movie!~

I think Drizzt Do'urden is about one of the lamest characters I have ever come across.

Only two novels: The Legacy and Starless Night. The books are somewhere in my house. I just can not stand the character is all I was saying.

f*ck that, I really could care less about Catti-brie, Wulfgar, and the rest of his gang as well.
