Yup, truly ridiculous, the fact that an undefeated team goes to a BCS Bowl is just mind-boggling.

Lol! Ok I'll break it down a little for you, but it's not worth arguing much since it's so obvious.
1. They play in a bad conference
2. They play an incredible weak schedule
3. Not only do they play a weak schedule, they barely beat many of the teams on their weak schedule
4. They play an almost all-passing offense, which doesn't work against a good team
Now let me guess, "but Boise State did the same thing last year and won their bowl game"
Boise State also plays in a weak conference, played no ranked opponents, barely escaped with some of their wins against crappy teams, AND only beat Oklahoma by 1 on a weird trick play, pretty flukey to me.

So what you're saying is, because Boise State barely beat Oklahoma, they didn't beat them

Fact is, BSU beat Oklahoma because they were the better team on that day. I don't even care about the result, that game will become a legend. Greatest game I have seen in college football. Period.
As for Hawaii, yeah they played a weak schedule, in a weak conference, but they won. If LSU played Hawaii's schedule, and won all the games, would you say they didn't deserve a BCS bid? Nah, I didn't think so.
Not to mention, every single team in the BCS Bowl Games won close games, and lost to underdogs.

I agree, at least Boise State games were exciting to watch and were full of surprises, Hawaii beat a bunch of teams worse than App State (sorry Michigan

) and get a BCS bowl game against the should-be runner ups to the Nat'l Title game? Bullshit, tell me when they schedule someone from the top 250 in their non confernce schedule...

Really, I said that? No, I said it was a crazy once in a 1000 finish that by no means makes up for the regular season.

I agree

As much as I love you assuming my answer, no I wouldn't think they'd deserve a BCS shot. But that is dodging the point, because LSU DOES play in the SEC and only had 1 loss
misterman10 wrote:Not to mention, every single team in the BCS Bowl Games won close games, and lost to underdogs.
Won close games against quality opponents. The underdog losses happen to everyone, but that is again getting away from Hawaii.
End of story, Hawaii plays in the Big 12, SEC, etc., they go 6-5 and nobody cares about them

Yeah, hope USC gets beaten cause I don't want them whining again like when LSU beat Oklahoma for the NC. Overall, I think they messed it up. GA v. USC would have been a better matchup and there are a few teams that Hawaii could have played that would have been a better match-up in my opinion. Though still, Hawaii v. GA it will be a good game.

Exactly, there's no way that LSU, VT, and Oklahoma should have passed UGA. I could see LSU and maybe one other team but not 3.

The fact that LSU is a much better team than OSU and they will have all of their weapons ready for this game. Also there's the fact that OSU got stomped by Florida last year.

Actually, I think it will be a BYU vs. UCLA rematch from the first game of the season, which hopefully turns out to be a UCLA beatdown this time around since we were so close last time to beating them.
