Mizzou and WV lose (American football)

Big games today. Didn't get to see either of them but from what I understand (and the score would indicate it) Oklahoma beat up on Mizzou and Pittsburgh simply outlasted a wounded WV game knocking the #1 and #2 teams out of the top spots. Now the question is who will play in the National Championship?

It probably will be LSU vs. OSU, but I'm still hoping for the off chance of a Georgia vs. OSU for it all. Plus you still can't rule out Kansas.

... I've been saying all season something like, "I'm sick and tired of Ohio State beating the crap out of everybody!" , wishing they would play a team as tough as LSU.

... And now... it looks like that might happen.

... Go BUCKS!!

... Georgia vs OSU would be good, too though.

most likely lsu and OSU, based on they won there conference. wat hurts kansas and georgia is that they did not win there conference.

Hawaii is also down 28-14 to Washington. If Hawaii comes back and wins, I want them in the National Championship. As for Mizzou, they didn't get destroyed. They had some bad turnovers and some unlucky breaks. It was a close game, but once OU pulled ahead with a touchdown to make it 35-17, Mizzou lost hope.

I think OSU and LSU are going to end up in the National Championship, which is just another reason why the BCS is terrible. I want to see a playoff system... Now.

ha, hawaii deserves nothing. not there fault but they play nobody. and mizzu stands no shot, oklahoma will get in before mizzu because of conference champonships. va tech would get in but the fact lsu killed them is the deciding reason that lsu will be in

Hawaii deserves a chance to prove they are the best team in the nation. Boise State deserved that chance last year, but because neither team is in a premier conference, they get snubbed. That's why there needs to be a playoff system.

... Hawaii would get absolutely slaughtered. I mean, the Mount Union Purple Raiders are undefeated.... Think they can beat OSU? LSU? Georgia? .......

even if there was it would be 4 teams prolly, maybe 8. football is not a sport for big tournies. hawaii should find a way to get a tougher schedule or something, because if they cant they will never get the oppertunity, nor do they deserve it. if a power conference team played their schedule they would most likely go undefeated. there resume does not match up, that equals the fact they do not deserve anything other than a regular bcs bowl, at large, or a good bowl.

Yes, Hawaii's just another BSU.

I think that Georgia would make a good team to play OSU. There as hot if not hotter than anyone else in the nation right now with 6 straight wins, in 3 of which Georgia scored 40+ points, one of the best and most exciting freshman running backs in the country (Knowshon Moreno), and was the only team all year to hold Kentucky to less than 30 points. If Georgia comes out pumped like they did for the Florida and Auburn games, they would be a hard team to beat and if nothing else make it a very enjoyable game.

On the other hand, by the time the Championship comes up, LSU will probably have everyone on their team healthy, and lets face it, They are a whole different defense when #72 is healthy.

I expect another SEC win.

... LSU at 100% vs OSU at 100%... as much I love the Bucks, I'd put my money on LSU.

Not to mention USC... Now that they're healthy, they're as good as it gets talent-wise. Remember, this was supposed to be the greatest college football team in the history of NCAAF. I even hate the Trojans.

That's the one game I did get to catch. And yes both LSU and the Vols played an extremely good 2nd half. But neither team really performed that great in the first half, particularly LSU. There were some teams in the SEC (Georgia or Florida for example) that could have taken advantage of some key mistakes by LSU and turn them into points. Not to say that the Vols didn't play a great game, they just never capitalized on some gifts from LSU and made some critical mistakes that could have been the difference between winning and losing (For example, When LSU got the interception for the go ahead touchdown. Ainge should have never thrown it there.)

And good thing that Booty is terrible and just likes to throw it as far as possible.
"40, 50, 60, 66, 70 yards! Holy shit guys, I just threw the ball 70 yards into the stands" :D

VT vs OSU 8)

VT is ranked higher than LSU and our losses were early.

No way it's Kansas or GA, as they didn't play in their conference championship games.

2nd game of the season, we're a different team now. And early losses don't mean much in college football, it's how you're playing now that counts. LSU lost to an unranked team last week. We lost to LSU, ranked #1 or #2 when we played them, and BC, ranked #2 when we played them.
