I'd like to hear your thoughts on how you think the world will end, when, and what's going to happen after that. Also, what about Nostradamus' prediction of the world ending on 12/21/12?

im just saying there have been mornings where i would have done away with it 3 or 4 times before lunch.

I think instead of an "End of World" scenerio, it is more than likely it will be a collapse of civilization due to human and environmental events.

The Hopi tradition states that we are currently living in the Fourth World of civilization and that there were three other worlds before this one. The Hopis now believe that we are starting the path into the Fifth World, and this prophecy is telling us that path and what to expect from it.

Interesting to note that just before the Atomic Bomb, the Hopis were trying to go to the League of Nations to warn the world of its emergence, but the United States didn't allow any Native American tribes a sovereign voice at the League of Nations (Now known as the UN).

The Hopis called it The Gourd of Ashes and they knew when it was coming! They also predicted the exact day and time of the arrival of the Spanish into Hopiland, just like the Aztecs (by the way, the Hopis are the Aztecs!)

One prophecy that very few people have heard of is the Corn Rock Prophecy.

There is this rock formation in Hopiland (which is located in Northern Arizona in the United States) called Corn Rock. It is a large double rock formation. Two huge slabs of standing rock, side be side, and the Sun rises behind them as you look from Second Mesa village called Mishnongovi.

The prophecy says that when the Hopis arrived, the Creator told them that there would be an ending to the Fourth World just like the world's before it. The Hopis asked the Creator how they would know when the Fourth World was ending.

The Creator took two huge rocks and stood them upright, side by side of each other and said,"These I call Corn and you must always remember them. You must always look towards the East and remember Corn standing. You must carry two ears of corn in your ceremonies to remember what I am telling you now. Corn signifies many people of different races and cultures, all standing upon eachother's heads. I carry this Corn in my right and left hands, and when I drop the Corn from my hands, the Corn will fall to the ground."

So the Hopis revolved their culture around this very prophecy so that they would always remember that when Corn Rock fell...that would signify the beginning of the emergence into the Fifth World. So, the Hopis decided that someone must always watch Corn Rock, and when Corn Rock fell...the person on watch at that time, had to warn all the hopi villages.

Well, thousands of years went by, and Corn Rock did not fall. Many Hopis are forgetting the old ways, and many started to think the prophecies were just old superstition and part of a more non-progressive traditionalistic culture.

The village of Mishognovi was formed for the specific reason and task of watching Corn Rock...all day and all night. A 24 hour watch! Waiting for Corn Rock to fall!

So, one day...one of the elders was watching this rock, and the Sun had just came up on the horizon behind the formation. The rocks are still standing, but someone came to the elder...he was speaking on a cell phone. He told the elder that airplanes had just hit the Twin Towers in NewYork.

So all the Hopis watched on their TVs...that the Twin Towers were on fire...and then...one tower fell, and a little bit later...the other tower fell. When the elders saw this, they knew what the prophecy meant! The Corn Rock symbolized the Twin Towers in NewYork and to the Hopis...The Corn fell on September 11,2001. They are preparing their emergence into the Fifth World...are you?

You can go and visit Hopiland, and if you go by the village of Mishognovi, you will see the Corn Rock formation...and when you first see it, the first thing that will run through your mind (even if you had never heard this story) is that this formation really does remind you of the Twin Towers. So, since the dead of 9-11 have no memorial...then they should leave NewYork and go to Arizona. They can visit Corn Rock and remember.

Oh yeah, Mishognovi has a bunch of graves at the foot of Corn Rock...that is even creepier!

Yeah, I don't know how else to tell you about the prophecy if you had never heard it before. It was actually a very touching traditional story. I am glad the Hopis shared it with me and I could share it with you guys!
