I take it that was a joke, because the Jew's had absolutely nothing to do with the death of jesus, except for the fact that he was born jewish.

yes, it's a joke. but as i remember jews shouted: "crucify him!" (read new testament, they had a lot to do with his death although it was meant to be this way). i personally don't believe so there's no need to feel offended.

i believe men evolved from apes (at least i did). go Darwin!

Why is On the Origin of Species up there? Darwin was an agnostic his entire life... nothing in his findings necessarily contradict with the Bible in a major way. My AP Bio teacher was a firm believer in Darwin's theory, and also a devout Christian. It's not a handbook on atheism.

If I remember correctly (and I'm almost positive I do), the Origin of Species say nothing at all about men coming from apes. Stuff like that was put forward by followers of Darwin's theory of evolution, in and of itself not offensive to Christian sensibilities at all.

the whole idea alone of evolution alone is contradicting to what the bible teaches of creation... they do contradict them selfs there can not be creation and evolution in a complete harmony. Why would Noah need to save a pair of animals from each species during the flood? Wouldn't the fish just have evolved them selfs back into Animals eventually?

That's not the point at all. Would you allow all land fauna to perish just because you knew they'd eventually evolve back to land animals in millions of years? That's a bit harsh, even by the OT God's standards.

Natural selection merely states that not all animals are born equal, and some are able to survive better than others given a certain environment (the survival of the fittest of Herbert Spencer). Don't Christians consider God to be the driving force behind the natural laws (and scientists agree some spark is behind the process)? Why can't he be the one who determines what species evolve?

Bad example, but you get the idea.

Islam is basically Judaism plus one prophet, but you Listed the Qur'an seperately.

"Islam is nothing more nor less than Judaism plus the apostle-ship of Mohammad."

I just posted this because I enjoy being contrarian.

False, islam unlike judaism recognizes Christ as a prophet. so there's more than just one more prophet. I don't know too much about these religions but i bet you could find many more differences.

More False! Many Jews recognize Jesus as a prophet, just not as the Messiah. Yes, there are differences, but the similarities are (ironically, since Muslims tend to have a distaste for Jews) pretty astounding.

Well, both the Koran and the OT/Torah are similar, up until Abraham's sons I believe. That is where it splits quite easily.

BTW, the Bible for me.

It's the other way round. Under muslim rule jews were never persecuted unlike what has been happening during last 50 or more years. I'd dislike too some one who took my land and is killing my people. Yes, i know things are more complicated but why can't u jews admit you're wrong? I also know i won't get anywhere with this discussion since i can see you're strongly biased.
