I played the modern version...

I'm hopelessly addicted to Call of Duty 4, but I play it on the PS3.

I haven't played any FPS's on the comp since Doom II I think (makes me feel old, btw).

I play a cracked COD4 so no internets for me

Half Life 1.

i reckon FPSs are better on consoles

The online is amazing on the PC! just got 6 kills in a 8v8 S&D (I feel so happy )

Nice spin, the online is quite good on the PS to. I prefer S&D also or Ground Wars but I like Old School and play it a lot.



Mr. I: sometimes FPS's are better on comps, sometimes they're better on the pc, just depends on the gamer and the style of game. Many people say a mouse and keyboard are the best way to play any FPS (quicker reactions and more precise) but I, personally, prefer a console/controller so I agree with you.

Though on the whole, Computers are best for the total war series online.

Not too many now, anymore.

But I have played all the big name ones. Far Cry, FEAR, Half Life, Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 2, Crysis, Doom3, UT3, Serious Sam 1, the Expansion, and Serious Sam 2. Jedi Knight, Jedi Academy, etc etc etc...

I've played em all. Only have a few favorites. FEAR, Doom3, Serious Sam. I enjoyed Crysis a little bit. Tho, my system can hardly handle it.

Have not played UT3 yet to render an opinion. But so far, it's bloody awesome.

i just finished FEAR. Weak ending but plenty of good fighting. Half life 2 is still maybe the best FPS of all time IMO

Anyhoo, I started playing FEAR again. I forgot how boring the beginning levels were. I hope it picks up, like I remember it. Playing on Hard this time through, so I'm hoping for a challenge.

What do you guys play it?

For me, it's 1440x900 wide screen. I cant play with anything less then at least medium settings with 2x AA, and 4x AF.

The only PC game I've ever played in my life is Warcraft II. I'm a console guy, usually Nintendo. FPS....Goldeneye is the granddaddy! Current FPS....Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Wii is great.
