war of the worlds was a godawful film, what the hell are you talking about.



any hollywood director whose made a movie in the last 10 years should be disqualified. They're all entertainment masturbators, not giving a shit about quality film and just making movies purely for the sex scenes, the action sequences, and everything cliche.(not that action movies aren't fun to watch, i love them, but there not 'great' directing)


Alejandro Jodorosky, definetely. Best director i've ever seen. Check him out if you haven't, some of his movies we're illegal in the united states for many years, but their legal now.

I can think of several directors who care much more for film content.
