Who posted that?

EDIT: But, ya know it's funny how the bleedin-heart manipulative charities get pictures like these. They stand by and photograph whilst they let the poor kid eat off of the floor.

Sickens me.....if it is not just staged.

while i appreciate the point that the photog should be helping the kid, don't you think it's appropriate to snap the photo in order to show the world what is happening to those in poverty? how else will we know if s/he doesn't take the photo?

also, what's w/ the hatred for charities? you know they exist to help people, rite? the above-board ones, anyway......

I think the haircut is rather amusing though.
Plus I'm just too tired to start condemning people and the world right now.

while it is sad that people have to live like that it is hypocritical to sit at our computers, think about the Big Mac we can have for lunch, or go grab another snack from the break room (mmmm fig newtons).

If you are going to cry about starving children try one of the following
1. Sell your car, walk to work, or take the bus, and send the money to some war torn region.
2. Instead of paying $20 to play risk online, support an African baby for 9 months.
3. Instead of going out to dinner this weekend, support a starving kid for an entire year ($50).
4. Instead of going on a summer vacation to Hawaii, sign up to build houses with Habitat in Sudan.
5. Instead of renting a movie every other weekend, save that money and support yet another starving kid.
6. For Christmas, ask your friends and family to finance a small business in a third world country through Kiva.org (look it up) instead of asking for a new Ipod cause the screen on yours is scratched.

Or just keep bitching about how wrong it is to have starving kids in the world.

Hypocrits.

It is staged. Notice how the bread on the ground does not appear to be stale. It was just tossed there very recently. You can tell this is the case, because the small crumbs that are evident in the picture would get scattered with a light breeze, or even by the air movement of passing pedestrians. The only time you see crumbled bread like that is if someone just put it there.

Also notice that the area around the kid has standing water, but the bread is not soggy.

Assumption, if one kid looks like that, there are probably a hundred other kids that look like that or worse. They would all be hunting for any food available. If that bread had been there longer than a few seconds, then there would be multiple children going for it.

This photographer, bought the bread, then in an attempt to get a heart-wrenching photo, scattered the bread for this kid much like you would do to try and photograph a wild animal. It is purely an attempt to stage a scene for the photographer's benefit. He/she manipulated this starving child so they could sell the photo somewhere else.

Hopefully, the photographer at least had the heart to give the kid $2 in advance of the hundreds or thousands that the photographer might make from the photo.

If you look at the URL, you see that the picture is titled "funny" and it's from a site with funny in the name. Google is not so much to blame as the motherfuckers who decided it would be funny to post it.

I just checked the website out here , and it seems none of the pictures are particularly funny, some actually being a little tasteless.

Made me laugh though.

Oddly enough, there seems to be a pakistani theme to it...
