Well, this War is bankrupting America, you think that is a good thing? Also, this year has the most casualties out of all the years since this war began in 2003, you still think this war is smart? And now we see that almost FIVE THOUSAND soldiers have deserted the army this year, because they are realizing how STUPID this War is. You are so smart Iliad, why don't you tell me why I am wrong. You can't, because I am right. The War is Stupid and you all know it!

You gottabekiddingme - this from CC's lemmeseehowmanypostsicanget, premier, boreyatodeath spambaby? Illy you will always be the spam poster boy here at CC.

As to the war, it's about fooking time our troops start showing some balls and showing America by their desertion that the war is bullshit. The desertions during Viet Nam were a big factor that helped to end the war, and hopefully this will help end the Bushes' fascination with Iraq. Let Haliburton make their billions elsewhere.

Those desertions were from little boys who had no balls. If you join the army you don't desert because you went to war. It's because that war ended that all those soldiers that died, died for absolutely nothing. If you want that to happen in Iraq then continue saying that we should stop fighting in Iraq.

Did Congress vote to go to war? Yes

Then it's a war not an undeclared illegal occupation.

There was no declaration of War on Iraq!

Or on Afghanistan for that matter!

Just some idealogical war on terror.

Congress gave Bush a blank check to do what he wanted...there was no declaration of War. Remember "the Day that will Live in Infamy"? That was a declaration of War.

We never got one from Bush, it is just an occupation.

No the war ended because all those soldiers died for absolutely nothing. They didn't join for shit's and giggles, you know? They were drafted.

Though ofcourse the current soldiers did join volutarily.

You sound like a kid repeating what mommy and daddy told him. Viet Nam was exposed in the public press - never heard of Daniel Ellsberg have you? (rhetorical question) - as a lie from the beginning. Ending the war did not make those deaths for nothing - we never meant to win it numbnuts. It was meant to go on and on, as is Iraq, because every day of a war they make millions of dollars (literally).

So even though everyone now knows that Viet Nam was a fiasco, your mommy and daddy have convinced you differently. Brilliant! Did they also convince you that Oswald shot Kennedy? That Clinton did not have sex with that woman? That the world is flat?

As to the soldiers being cowards, i would bet a lot of money that when you're old enough, you won't join up - period. You're from a family of flag wavers who cheer from the sidelines and let others do the fighting aren't you? No one will ever see you serve, but you have the idiocy to judge some that did. I admire their courage for having the balls to say enough, and if this were flame wars i'd tell you how i really feel about you.

We are now in the time where patriots cheer our troops on from the safety of their homes, like it is some kind of football game, never really realizing the meaninglessness of their puffed-up words of seeming support. Sometimes the best support one can offer is to first realize that a major mistake was made in the illegal occupation of an undeserving populace. The best support we at home can give our troops is too practice our right to assemble, and to peacefully protest. And when government decides that We the People have to much Liberty at our disposal, then we will practice our final and most dear rights--that of which is to bear arms!

To leave that war, is to escape from an Abyss! A bottomless pit of which those that support it, find themselves trapped by their honor and ego. To kill more soldiers and innocent Iraqis and Afghanis for the sake of saving face is not only wrong but it is integrally horrific to keep on doing so.

I commend those who have the courage and the leadership to decide to get out. It sends the message to your leaders in Washington that something is not right, and something has to change.

I encourage those soldiers to always stand up for what they think and know is right, and I support our troops wholeheartedly. Sometimes the real corageous actions are overlooked or misinterpretted for cowardice. But I assure you, that there is not one coward among them, sir.

Hold on, hold on. You're saying that if we leave Iraq, they die for no reason? They die for no reason anyways. If there's a reason for joining the army its to accomplish the big business goals.
