Important political announcement!!

As many of you may know, I have decided to throw my hat into the ring of presidential contenders. My principal reason for this is to pick off the growing number of Ron Paul converts. Things have gone very well in the past 24 hours. Let me give you some encouraging information:

* More and more Luns101 banners have been added to CC members' sigs
* I've been endorsed by the guy who cleans Clapper's pool
* We have raised about 55% of what Ron Paul's current campaign war chest has (mostly due to the fact that we accept Euros & Ameros as valid).
* We've registered over 60,000 illegal immigrants to vote (for me obviously)

However, I need to be more proactive. The Ron Paul people had a head start on me. I am therefore forced to choose a running mate.

It was a tough choice. I needed a vice-president who would be able to pick up the mantle should I fall. I needed a vice-president who could articulate my message should the govt. cronies secretly snatch me away and waterboard me. We all need someone who is willing to eat shepherd's pie, drink Guinness, and identify obscure Japanese horror movies from one still photo.

In the end there could really only be one man fit for this job. He'll be trolling by later to give you his acceptance speech. You know him...You love him! CC, are you ready for him?!!!!

It's....STOPPER!!

Might as well hand over the election now and grant the executive branch increases in power eh?

the only thing sidetracking this seemingly insurmountable campaign for the CC vote is the fact that luns right wing program has a leftist as a vice president and a leftist as a campaign manager. Fortunatly the candidates are well liked across the board so that no one has yet to notice.

I think i might have considered B.K. or Nobunga if i was luns but you cant really argue with someone of stoppers starpower....the women love him and the men want his incredible skills at discerning japanese movies from still photos.

I am still baffled by how he could keep such a shitty avatar for so long.

Stopper is a very good choice for vice-President, I think tonkaeds worries are exaggerated. Even though Stopper might be known for what some people would like to call "leftist" ideas the fact that he is luns running mate only goes to show how well-founded and sensible luns political program is. If this program can convince people who would traditionally be the political enemies of a right-wing candidate as well as rally the politically right it can only mean that luns has found a working formula that through it's brilliance and clarity unites people from all over the political spectrum, regardless of their bias.
Has anyone else ever managed this? I don't think so.

I hate to be a pisser here, but Stopper does not meet the requirements for V.P. I'm sure he's a nice guy (even though he'd wait for the police instead of helping the grandma getting mugged, remember that one? 8)), but he just doesn't qualify.

The Twelfth Amendment to the United States Constitution requires the vice president to meet the same eligibility requirements as the president. That is, the vice president must be at least 35 years of age, a natural born citizen, and a resident of the U.S. for 14 years.

Luns, how can you expect to draw in Ron Paul supporters if your prospective running mate is a foreigner loyal to the British crown?

Magna Carta?

Magna Carta influenced many common law and other documents, such as the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights, and is considered one of the most important legal documents in the history of democracy......

Fair enough, lets see what else this historic document states:

Magna Carta required the king to renounce certain rights, respect certain legal procedures and accept that his will could be bound by the law.

In this case, the law being the 12th Amendment to the constitution.

Sorry Luns, I just can't see this as a means of grabbing Ron Paul supporters (or other candidates for that matter).
With all due respect, I would advise you consider another running mate.

The law is the law.
If Luns wants to take this seriously, then he must pick a runningmate who qualifies under the Constitution.
