In the words of Victor Meldrew: I DON'T BELIEVE IT!
Well it's true, political correctness strikes again!
In the run up to Christmas, certain American stores are banning their Santas from saying the traditional "Ho Ho Ho" greeting because it vaguely sounds like the slang word for a prostitute and might upset women and children. Instead they should say "Ha Ha Ha"...
Now I don't know about you but WHAT IN THE NAME OF BLOODY HELL!?

I was in the music section of wal mart last year and some guy was looking at the cover of the Destiny's Child Christmas album with the 3 girls in santa hats. He commented that it gave new meaning to the words "Ho, Ho, Ho." Wise guy.

haven't heard anything about America doing it ....
Santas across Sydney, Australia, are rebelling against attempts to ban their traditional greeting of "ho, ho, ho" in favor of "ha, ha, ha."
Recruitment firm Westaff — which supplies hundreds of Santas across the country — has told its trainees that the "ho ho ho" phrase could frighten children and could even be derogatory to women.
nothing in the news about it happening here just yet...but i'm sure it's only a matter of time.

upset the children? how, they are the ones that make fun of it or are too young to know.
Most women wouldn't care probably.

Seriously, who fucking cares? The image of Santa we know of now was created by Coca-Cola Corporation, thats why he's big and red with a white beard. Ever see pepsi do Christmas promotions on their bottles? No, because Coke owns the image.
So a character whose modern adaptation was completely created by a company, and whose modern role in society is to help other companies receive an end of year profit splurge by tricking millions of people around the world to buy stupid gifts for everyone in their family. And now your worried that his 'Ho Ho Ho' has been taken away? Why exactly does that bother you? Worried about loss of integrity or something? News flash. Santa (or Christmas) hasn't had any for years
Christmas is a load of shit, it combines two things that I don't like. Religion and Consumption. Jesus is the symbol of the religious, Santa is the symbol for consumption.

Christmas sucks more if you have friends, specifically teenaged female friends. Did you know some of them actually demand you to give them presents? wtf? I believe I made a wise descision at the time. I thought they could get stuffed, and stopped handing out with them.
Now what I reaaaaly would like for christmas is my family to bugger off for a while and not bother me, but so far they have yet to comply.
Oh right, and as for the santas. Screw it, who cares, let them have their hos.

Anyone that can be offended by Santa saying ho ho ho should have some sense slapped in them. But then generally it's not really women tthat are offended by this, it is people in office who just think that someone *might* get offended so that do stupid things in order to prevent it. They should just leave well enough alone and they would find they would have a lot less problems.
